Phoenix-based manufacturer Brooklyn Bedding has leased an additional 150,000-square-foot space just south of its current 145,000-square-foot factory at company headquarters.

According to a news release, the new facility allows the bed maker to accommodate its rapidly growing business and effectively doubles its production capacity. It also allows Brooklyn Bedding to keep plenty of inventory on hand.

“Our increased production capacity means customers don’t have to wait another night to get the best sleep ever,” said Tim Dilworth, chief operating officer. “After a record-breaking fourth quarter, we’re in prime position to elevate our manufacturing game. Offering free, same-day shipping to our key wholesale and retail customers is a bold initiative that will further differentiate us in a highly competitive industry.”

Chief Executive Officer John Merwin said: “When we built our modern manufacturing facility from the ground up in 2015, we were in awe at how spacious it was. We believed we had ample room for growth for many years to come. Just over three years later, we’re bursting at the seams. It’s a good challenge to face — we already
have the business and the inventory to double our production capacity.”

The company is a factory direct that sells its own brand online and at its brick-and-mortar stores in Arizona and Utah. Brooklyn Bedding also is a mattress wholesaler of branded and private-label beds with retail partners across the country and is a drop-ship supplier to e-commerce mattress brands. A strong proponent of easy-ship boxed beds, Brooklyn Bedding’s entire lineup is designed to be compressed and roll packed.
